Upon graduating from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, Brian has spent his legal career focusing on securities law.
Brian explains that he has two passions: sports and business:
“I have always had a passion for sports. Whether it was basketball, football, or baseball, as a young boy, most of my childhood was spent participating in sports either competitively or recreationally. As I have gotten older, although I will always love to play sports with friends and family, my interest in sports has evolved toward an interest in the business side of athletics. As a result, some of the events I look most forward to annually are the NBA and NFL Drafts. I am intrigued by trades and how they are negotiated and closed.”
“From the time I completed law school at the University of Utah in 2011, I found my legal passion working on deals including corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate transactions. I now assist clients in all stages of the entrepreneurial process including entity structure, preparing business plans, fund raising (including seed, friends and family (private offerings), IPOs and reverse mergers (going public). I am intrigued with federal and state securities law compliance and I love to assist entrepreneurs in navigating the process of raising funds and the many issues that they face when forming, funding, and operating their businesses.”
